Bosch GDX 18 V-EC 18v Cordless Impact Driver
The most universal impact driver in its class – with even longer lifetime. Featuring a 1/2″ Square & 1/4″ hexagon combined socket/bit holder similar to that seen on the GDX 18 V-LI models, the newly designed GDX 18 V-EC is built around a brushless EC motor for higher efficiency and lower susceptibility to mechanical wear, resulting in an impact tool that is as reliable as it is adaptable.
The compact and rugged GDX 18 V-EC is also suitable for the most challenging of environments – Bosch’s Extreme tool protection system protects against adverse weather conditions and dust or particles created in the workspace, while the onboard LED provides illumination in low-visibility areas. The compact design, combined with the tool’s low weight, is invaluable when working overhead or in cramped spaces.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
